Trivia: In South Carolina, Shannon Faulkner becomes the first female cadet matriculated at The Citadel on this day in 1995. Amusingly enough this is also the date that Woodstock opened in 1969. So 11 years since The Citadel was de-gendered and 37 years since a weekend of Peace Love and Rock-n-Roll.

Actually it was sort of a tribute to the women who are serving our country.
